Author Biography

Alain Beaulieu, McGill University

Alain Beaulieu completed a Ph.D. in Philosophy at the University of Paris VIII. He is now SSHRC Post-doctoral fellow and teaching assistant in the Department of Philosophy at McGill University, Canada. He has published: Gilles Deleuze et la phénoménologie, Sils Maria/Vrin, 2004; "Les sources heideggériennes de la notion d'existence chez le dernier Foucault", Revue philosophique de Louvain, 4, 2003; and contributed to Abécédaire de Michel Foucault, Sils Maria/Vrin, 2004. He has a work forthcoming with Concepts: La complémentarité des oeuvres de Michel Foucault et Gilles Deleuze. He organized the international conference "Michel Foucault et le contrôle social" (U. of Montreal, May 2004). The proceedings of this conference were published in two volumes (French/English) in 2005.
