Author Biographies

Stuart Elden, University of Durham

Stuart Elden is the author of Mapping the Present: Heidegger, Foucault and the Project of a Spatial History, London: Continuum, 2001, and Understanding Henri Lefebvre: Theory and the Possible, London: Continuum, 2004, and Speaking Against Number: Heidegger, Language and the Politics of Calculation, Edinburgh: Edinburgh University Press, 2005. He is currently working on issues concerning geopolitics and territory, and has published analyses of Foucault's lecture courses in journals such as boundary 2 and Journal for Cultural Research.

Clare O'Farrell, Queensland University of Technology

Clare O'Farrell is the author of Foucault: Historian or Philosopher? London: Macmillan Press, 1989 and is the editor of Foucault: The Legacy, Brisbane: QUT, 1997, 2002 and co-editor of Taught Bodies, New York: Peter Lang, 2000. She is the owner of the Michel Foucault: Resources website. She has published articles on the role of the intellectual and also on film theory. She has also published a book titled Michel Foucault with Sage in 2005.

In Polish (Warsaw: Wydawnictwo Naukowe "Scholar," 2004). He has also authored and co-authored a large number of articles dealing with the Holocaust, Heidegger, Foucault, and Nietzsche.
