Pedro Mauricio Garcia Dotto

Pedro Mauricio Garcia Dotto is an advanced Ph.D. student in the Philosophy Department at The New School for Social Research. His doctoral dissertation undertakes an archaeology of the concept of “psychagogy” —the art of conducting souls—with a view to developing an interpretation of Plato’s Phaedrus. Recently, he has been awarded with the Onassis Foundation Doctoral Fellowship. He is also the author of “Usos da liberdade e agonismo em Michel Foucault” [Usages of Freedom and agonism in Michel Foucault] (Intermeios, 2018). Furthermore, he was the recipient of a competitive grant from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) for the publication of this book, which was the result of his MA thesis at PUC-SP (2016).
