David Couzens Hoy, University of California

David Couzens Hoy is Professor of Philosophy and Distinguished Professor of Humanities at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He taught previously at Yale, Princeton, UCLA, Barnard, and Columbia. His books include The Critical Circle (California), Critical Theory (with Thomas McCarthy; Blackwell), Foucault: A Critical Reader (Blackwell), and most recently, Critical Resistance (MIT Press, 2004). He is currently writing a book entitled, The Time of our Lives.
