”Arbejdsfamilien” som arbejdsfællesskab – En teoretisk og empirisk analyse af postheroisk ledelse

Resumé

Denne artikel beskæftiger sig med ”Arbejdsfamilien” som begreb for ledelse og organisering inden for offentlig pleje og omsorg. Med udgangspunkt i en konkret ledelsespraksis på et dansk plejecenter belyser vi Arbejdsfamiliens teoretiske og praktiske implikationer. Teoretisk rammesætter vi Arbejdsfamilien som et udtryk for postbureaukratisk organisering og postheroisk ledelse. I vores empiriske analyse af praksis viser vi, hvordan Arbejdsfamilien som ledelsesbegreb bygger på lederens personlige livserfaring, hvordan den artikuleres, hvordan den virker personliggørende, og hvordan den indebærer spændinger mellem heroiske og postheroiske forestillinger om ledelse. Med begrebet om en Arbejdsfamilie lægges der som udgangspunkt vægt på værdier som ligeværd, fælles ansvar og tillid med samt det personlige og mellemmenneskelige i organisatoriske relationer. Vores tilgang til begrebet er dog ikke normativ og handlingsanvisende, men kritisk, udfordrende og spørgende. Vi er interesserede i at undersøge, 1) hvordan lederen former og indholdsudfylder dette selvskabte ledelsesbegreb eller -koncept; 2) hvordan medarbejderne oplever selvsamme begreb og hertil knyttede måder at gøre tingene på; 3) hvilke generelle indsigter om offentlig ledelse og offentlig organisering der kan udledes af denne case og af den teoretiske rammesætning, vi skriver den ind i.
