Abstract

Being born into ownership of a business managed by the owners for several generations often means hardship rather than leadership, that is, if the you are not dedicated to exactly this type of enterprise. And this phenomenon of hardship will naturally be transferred to the business if the born leader is devoting their time to entirely different phenomena. So, the owner manager should leave it to his or her children to decide if they want to join the business or not, and let the interest of the business receive top priority when it comes to selecting the right successor.
