Open Access and Licensing

The American Studies in Scandinavia provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

The American Studies in Scandinavia charges no author fees for submission or publication of papers.

Articles from Vol 54 No 1 (2022) and forward are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).

Articles published in issues before Vol 54 No 1 (2022) are, however,  not published under a Creative Commons license. In these volumes all rights are reserved to the American Studies in Scandinavia. This implies that readers can only download, read, and link to the articles.
