Peer Review

American Studies in Scandinavia utilizes double-blind peer review. Every submission is assessed by a member of the editorial team who provides initial feedback and decides whether to send the anonymized manuscript out for peer review. You will be informed of the initial editorial decision within four weeks.

If a manuscript is accepted for peer review, the editor will send it out to two expert scholars holding doctoral degrees. Be prepared for an approximately three month-long review process after which the author will be informed whether the article can be accepted for publication. In the end, the author will receive a layouted version of the text and is responsible for the final proof reading.
