Fernando R. Zapata is the recipient of the Queens College Philosophy Department's Morris K. Balsam Memorial Award, and departmental honours for undergraduate distinction in philosophy. His research interests include Foucault's concepts of ethical self-fashioning and studies on the practice of parrhesia.
