Copenhagen Journal of Asian Studies (CJAS) publishes open access, double-blind peer-reviewed articles, reports from the field, and book reviews. The scope of Journal is broad and interdisciplinary: It focuses on culture and society in contemporary Asia as well as Asia in modern history, promoting an interface between humanities and social sciences in the study of Asia.
Editors-in-Chief:
First published at the University of Copenhagen in 1987 as Copenhagen Papers in East and Southeast Asian Studies, the title changed to Copenhagen Journal of Asian Studies (CJAS) in 1994. The Journal was hosted at the Copenhagen Business School between 2003–2019. Since 2020, CJAS is published by the CCRS – Department of Cross-Cultural and Regional Studies, University of Copenhagen
